Approved Engine Course 1 is now available with Seascope in Antibes

Seascope France is excited to launch the Approved Engine Course 1 (AEC1) that will be run from January 20th to 24th, 2025. This course provides essential training for aspiring crew who are willing to start as Junior Engineers and Assistant Engineers in the yachting industry. The 5-day course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to work on diesel engines and systems aboard vessels, making it an ideal qualification for those looking to kickstart their engineering career on yachts.

The MCA approved AEC1 course will provide both theoretical and practical training in diesel engine maintenance, helping students gain the competencies required for safe and efficient vessel operation. Basic AEC training is beneficial for deckhands with little to no experience  who want to expand their skill set and enhance their career prospects.

For those looking to get fully trained for yacht crew roles, Seascope France is also offering the option to combine AEC1 with STCW Basic Safety Training.
