Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene

Food Safety and Hygiene training is required for all staff who works with or handles food in various hospitality settings. The training covers the importance and understanding of various food handling related issues including pertinent laws, HAACP, foodborne illnesses, hazards and contamination, personal hygiene, pest control and waste management. 

The online Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene course will be suitable for crew members, catering staff, and anyone responsible for handling food onboard or ashore. The course takes around 2–3 hours to complete, but you can study at your own pace. When you finish all the course modules, you’ll complete a 30-question online test. Once you pass and submit the evaluation, your certificate will be ready to download and print.

Note: Many motor yachts accept online Level 2 Food Safety course certificate. However, if you require an MCA approved certificate, we recommend that you check offline or one-on-one course delivery options.

Online vs. Offline

Online Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course certificate can be accepted by non-UK flag boats. In some cases, your employer might have a specific requirement that the course be completed in an offline setting. We recommend that you check directly with your employer if any requirements apply.
