    About the course

This training is required for new entrants and ship personnel re-validating certificates when joining their ships. This course is accredited by the MCA and provides part of the statutory basic training requirements for seafarers. Maritime establishments are well aware of the implications of possible fires aboard ship, particularly at sea when assistance is rarely possible. Having well-trained and competent crew to deal with fire situations is therefore invaluable.

This course will provide all the basics from fire prevention and firefighting skills to the causes of fires aboard ship and dealing with fires both safely and efficiently. The content includes:

    • Cause of fires on vessels
    • Basic fire prevention
    • Use of extinguishers
    • Firefighting techniques
    • Use of firefighting equipment
    • Use of breathing apparatus
    • Rescue techniques

All our courses are conducted in English. A sufficient level of understanding and speaking is required in order to successfully complete the course. Contact us if you have any questions.

Before booking the course, please make sure you read the course delivery, deposit and cancellation policy.
