Basic Housekeeping & Laundry Services

The IAMI GUEST Basic Housekeeping & Laundry Services module provides a comprehensive understanding of superyacht interior housekeeping and laundry procedures including general and detail cleaning, cleaning products, materials and fabrics, stain removal, washing machine maintenance, ironing and folding techniques etc. The course is highly practical and includes activities practiced onboard whenever possible. The course trainees gain a wealth of knowledge in using washing products, procedures of crew and guests laundry, handling fabrics etc. 

Basic Housekeeping and Laundry Services module is recommended for aspiring junior stews and interior crew with little to no experience in superyacht industry and specifically in yacht housekeeping.

The course forms a part of the IAMI/ GUEST superyacht interior program (Yacht Steward/ess training), the completion of which allows to obtain a full set of certificates and apply for GUEST Hospitality Certificate of Competency.
