La Rentrée: Yacht Crew Training Resumes in the South of France

September in France means one thing: La Rentrée.

Literally meaning “the return”, La Rentrée marks the end of the summer holidays and the moment when schools reopen, businesses return to full speed and everyday life gets back into its rhythm.

And in Antibes and the South of France, La Rentrée also signals the return of yacht crew training – and the beginning of an important period for anyone preparing for the next stage of their yachting career.

Back to Training at Seascope France

After the summer season, Seascope France is back with a full programme of yacht crew training throughout September, including STCW safety training, RYA courses, engineering qualifications and specialist Deck and Interior training.

With the Mediterranean season beginning to wind down and the Caribbean season approaching, September is an excellent time for new crew to gain their first qualifications and for experienced crew to update certificates or add new skills to their CV.

For anyone looking for their first job onboard a yacht, STCW remains the essential starting point, covering Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Elementary First Aid, Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities and Security Awareness.

STCW Refresher Training
