Whether you want to become a stew or deckhand, Seascope France still has spaces left on our high-demand training courses for the month of May. Availability is limited on some courses, so early booking is recommended.
For those interested in interior roles, we offer an introductory Yacht Steward/ess Training Programme (25-29 May). The course covers essential areas such as Basic Housekeeping & Laundry Services (26 May) ensuring you understand the high standards expected on board. You will also gain valuable experience in Basic Wine, Bartending & Mixology (27 May), alongside Food & Beverage Services (28-29 May), helping you deliver exceptional guest experiences. The 3 classes may also be booked individually.
The STCW Basic Safety Training (25-29 May) is a mandatory qualification for anyone seeking to work on board a yacht. This course provides the essential safety knowledge required at sea, covering areas such as fire prevention and firefighting, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid, and personal safety and social responsibilities.
The 2 courses, Basic Interior Pack (STCW & Yacht Stew) (STCW 18-23 May & Yacht Stew 25-29 May) can be purchased together as offering a reduced overall price.
Yacht Deckhand Training (14-15 May), (28-29 May) is perfect for those looking to work on the exterior boats. The 2-day programme provides practical skills and essential knowledge required on deck, such as wash-downs, maintenance, cleaning procedures, line handling, and knot tying.
In addition, we are offering availability on essential certifications that are recognised worldwide. Our PWC Jet Ski Course (20, 27 May) which teaches safe operation, regulations and manoeuvring of jet skis. The RYA Powerboat Handling Level 2 (16-17 May), (28-29 May) is a 2-day course ideal for beginners. It focuses on safe vessel handling, navigation basics and tender driving skills of small power-driven vessels.
