New Lithium-Ion Battery Safety & Command Module Bundle Now Available at Seascope France

Seascope France is pleased to announce the launch of a new online Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Awareness for Superyachts & Command & Control Module Bundle, delivered in partnership with VIRSEC.

As lithium-ion battery-powered tenders, toys, equipment and onboard systems become increasingly common across the superyacht industry, crew training and emergency preparedness are more important than ever. This new bundle has been designed to give yacht crew, senior officers, engineers, captains and yacht managers a more complete understanding of lithium-ion battery risks, from prevention through to emergency response leadership.

Until now, Seascope France offered the Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Awareness on Superyachts course as a standalone training option. This course remains available and provides essential knowledge on lithium-ion battery technology, onboard hazards, safe charging, storage, handling, fire prevention and emergency awareness.

We have now expanded the training pathway with the addition of the Command & Control Module. This advanced module is designed for those responsible for managing and leading the response to a lithium-ion battery incident onboard, including captains, chief officers, chief engineers, ETOs, safety officers, yacht managers, DPAs and senior crew.

The new bundle combines both courses into one comprehensive package, giving learners the technical awareness needed to reduce risk, as well as the command, leadership and decision-making skills required during an emergency situation.
