Increased Interest in Li-ion Safety Awareness Shows Boats Are Committed to Keep Crew and Vessels Safe
With the arrival of the Med season, Seascope’s Lithium-ion Battery Safety Awareness on Superyachts course saw a surge in demand. A number of bookings have been received from boat management companies who aim to give crew thorough understanding of the risks associated with lithium-ion batteries onboard.
In late 2023, Seascope France launched a new course to address the issues of Lithium-ion hazards on superyachts and their prevention. The course is now available online via VIRSEC learning platform. Li-ion Battery Safety Awareness on Superyachts training is designed to equip captains, crew, and other involved parties with the knowledge of application of Li-ion batteries on yachts, battery abuse, safe storage etc., and meets the requirements 6.3 and 6.5 of the ISM Code.
The 10% discount on the course is no longer available, but Seascope France offers a reduction for bulk bookings. For more information contact training@seascopefrance.com.
