PSSR Prevention of Violence and Harassment at Sea
Working at sea requires trust, teamwork, and a safe environment for every crew member. This course provides essential awareness and practical tools to prevent and address violence and harassment issues that might occur onboard a vessel. Designed specifically for crew members, officers, and maritime professionals, the course explores the dynamics of sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination, and sexual assault in maritime settings.
This online course was designed in response to the mandatory update to the content of the STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) course (STCW Code, Table A-VI/1-4) introduced by the the International Maritime Organization (IMO). It is recommended to all seafarers and especially superyacht crew who work in smaller, close-knit teams where reporting harassment or unacceptable behavior can feel risky and personally exposing.
IMPORTANT: This is not an STCW PSSR course. This online training covers the new mandatory update to the STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) course — STCW Code, Table A-VI/1-4, recently introduced by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). It is designed to supplement and support the updated PSSR requirements, not replace the certified classroom course.
